JOURNEY PROGRAM WILL BE PERFORMED IN DIGITAL FORMAT THIS YEAR

Due to the emergency situation caused by the COVID-19 virus, the European Climate KIC association has decided to run the Journey program in digital form this year. The main part of the program will be held online, using the Brightspace digital learning platform, while participants will have the opportunity to apply the skills learned and the action plan developed in their local environment. This information was announced in April at a meeting of all hosts and coaches of the Journey 2020 program.

After this announcement, the Belgrade team composed of members of the Faculty of Applied Ecology Futura, Metropolitan University and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce held a meeting with partners from Cyprus and Romania, with whom they are working on organizing one of the summer schools within the Journey project. During this meeting, the topics of the workshops and other components of the program that is currently being developed were discussed, as well as the creative solutions that this digital approach provides.

In the next period, a webinar will be held for the use of the Brightspace platform for all partners of this program, and by the end of May, the development of the program that covers Belgrade as a host is planned.

Project Journey 2020 includes the organization of 10 summer schools held in July and August in 22 European cities, and the main goal of the program is to inspire and train postgraduates and young professionals to create sustainable innovative solutions in climate action using systemic change as the main tool.
