The idea of integral ecosystem processor which is more economically, ecologically and energy efficient technology compared to conventional ones is based on respect of natural and anthropogenic ecosystems.

Ecosystem processor is characterized by low price for construction and maintenance, technology based on natural processes, high flexibility with regard to given and tasked land characteristics, air, water and absolute fit into existing ecosystems. Ecosystem processor should be considered as module within ecological engineering concept. Ecological engineering takes advantage of the ecosystems as they combine natural resources and outputs from the economy to generate useful work.

In order to consider concept of ecosystem processor, two ways were developed

The main technological unit used is the ecosystem processor constructed on the basis of fundamental biological processes.
